Terms and Conditions For Third Party Products, Plants, Trees & Shrubs

We make every effort to ensure that all our plants are healthy and of the highest quality,
and they are fully inspected individually prior to dispatch or collection.

If however you feel that the plant you’ve received is not in good condition then please contact us immediately, to discuss its return, exchange or refund.

It’s worth noting the seasonality of plants, and that they will look different depending on the time of year.

Out of season plants may look very bare in winter periods, but the images on the website generally show a mature plant often in full bloom, but this may not be its state when purchased.

If you’ve ordered ‘plugs’ (a developing young plant, nurtured through the early growth stages)
These must be handled carefully during transfer to a pot or in your garden.

Rough handling of any plant, particularly its root system can lead to plant tissue damage from which a plant may not recover.

Acceptance

Once you place an order with us via our webstore (website), you will receive a standard order acknowledgment email stating all the items you have ordered.

This does not constitute acceptance of your order.

Acceptance is acknowledged only when your order has been shipped from our nursery and either delivered or made available to you for collection.

We reserve the right to refuse an order and anytime during our order preparation process.

The non-acceptance or rejection of an order may be due to many reasons, including being unable to authorise your payment, the product being unavailable, a product pricing or description error, or a product not being deemed fit for sale. In any of these events you will be notified by email and refunded where appropriate.

Returns - Peace of mind guarantee

We want you to be delighted with your purchases.

We fully comply with the Consumer Contracts Regulations, which give consumers buying
on-line the right to examine and test items at home as they would in a shop. However business customers do not have this right.

If you are unhappy with anything you've bought, simply let us know in writing via email within 60 days of receiving the item, and after having received a returns number send the item back to us for a full refund including the standard cost of delivery.

However this doesn't apply to bespoke or made-to-order items - such as hanging baskets or plant arrangements, self assembly items after an attempt at construction or to plants in some cases.

We will give you a complete refund including any standard cost of delivering the items to you (unfortunately, this won't include refunds for any Next Working Day delivery charges if delivery was attempted on time).

As with returning items to a shop, it is your responsibility to arrange and pay for the return of goods that have been correctly supplied and are not faulty.

Our products generally returnable if you return them in saleable condition (unopened packaging, and undamaged) and can be exchanged or refunded at its original purchase price.

However for plants, trees and shrubs this may not be the case because of regulatory issues associate with biosecurity, plant material controls and other UK and International regulations governing the sales of plants in the UK.

In such instances returns of any plant will be at the sole discretion of Golls Nursery Staff.

Using our contactless collection or delivery service is not an enticement to modify UK Government health advice. Customers are advised to make their own personal and family risk assessments before using this service.

Golls Nurseries does not accept any liability what so ever for customers not carrying out fundamental hygiene advice publicised by public health England for handling collected or delivered goods during the coronavirus/covid-19 public health crisis.

These Terms & Conditions do not affect your statutory rights under the sale of goods act or the laws governing the sale of products and services in England and Wales.
